The seed was brought into the country by a grower named Mike, and the tree has since been grown and shared under the name “Pineapple Mike.” It maintains the signature tropical flavour profile of its parent but with its own seedling variation.

Tree Description

Growth Habit: Medium-vigorous, upright tree with a strong central leader. Forms a dense, rounded canopy.

Size: Typically 4–6 metres when mature if unpruned. Can be maintained at 3–4 metres for home growers.

Leaves: Long, narrow, glossy dark-green foliage typical of premium dessert mango cultivars.

Flowering: Heavy flowering in warm spring conditions. Good fruit set when weather is stable.
