Fruit Size & Shape: Larger than some other cultivars, the fruit is round to slightly flattened, often 8–12 cm in diameter.

Skin: Glossy green when unripe, maturing to dull olive-green or nearly black.

Flesh: Rich, dark brown to black when fully ripe, smooth and custard-like in texture.

Taste: Sweet and mild, similar to chocolate pudding or dates with a subtle flavor.

Seeds: Contains a few large, inedible seeds.

Ripening: Must be fully soft to be edible. Unripe fruit is astringent and bitter.

Tree care:

Climate: Suited for tropical and warm subtropical regions. More cold-sensitive than some varieties—protect young trees from frost.

Soil: Prefers well-drained, fertile soil (sandy loam ideal). Tolerates a range of soils if drainage is good.

Sunlight: Requires full sun for best fruit production. Young trees may need light shade initially.

Watering: Needs consistent moisture, especially during flowering and fruiting. Avoid waterlogging. Mulching helps retain moisture and suppress weeds.
